The pavilion’s fat
headdress dozes sleek
and confident, dome
of many-colored dreams
above the tin canopies,
its parasite companions.
The deafening sun
shouts in its deep voice
of Macedonian wood,
the hammering
hailstorm of its
bronze vowels.
The deafened masters
languish, unsatisfied by
shade.
