Isabel La Catolica I

By January 15, 2012January 22nd, 2016Writing

She lies back
beneath gloomy
hermetic skies.
Her sails
simmer and slip
beneath the horizon,
the world looks
dull and quiet.
Dreams begin
to bleach
with her
fantastic tantrums,
old doctors
scampering the steps,
armed with
Moorish remedies,
a side-winding
palliative song.
