Setting: Shotgun house, subsidized public project, Parque Guerrero. 10:00 a.m.)

Julian: Is that you sweetie.

Patrick: No it’s me.

Julian: Oh well come into the light so I can see you.

Patrick: Are you expecting somebody.

Julian: No just the pizza boy.

Patrick: You call the pizza boy sweetie.

Julian: No did I well.

Patrick: I see you’ve started early.

Julian: Crack of dawn.

Patrick: Trouble sleeping or never made it to bed.

Julian: Oh I slept all right the neighbor’s rooster.

Patrick: Cockerel.

Julian: Rooster cockerel what’s the difference.

Patrick: I don’t know she just made a big deal when I complained kept correcting me.

Julian: Well it started in early.

Patrick: And now you’re ordering pizza.

Julian: Why not I’m hungry.

Patrick: It’s ten a.m.

Julian: Feels later.

Patrick: Throw on some pants and let’s go get breakfast at The Terraza my treat.

Julian: I can’t have eggs.

Patrick: Since when.

Julian: Doctor’s orders.

Patrick: You’re listening to him finally.

Julian: Well I’m not getting any younger.

Patrick: This the same one who phones in your refills.

Julian: Maybe.

Patrick: Jesus.

Julian: Don’t start he’s a good guy all the best schools.

Patrick: Where’d he do his internship corner of Threadneedle and Segundo.

Julian: Very funny and believe me he’s not as bad as some.

Patrick: What else can’t you have beside eggs.

Julian: Pork beef certain kinds of fish tomatoes peas beans cheese chocolate salt sugar in general spices in general.

Patrick: Bourbon or Scotch on that list?

Julian: Very prime we are this morning and this is gin.

Patrick: Pizza boy’s here and she’s brought a thoughtful friend.
