(Characters: Carmen, Frank
Setting: Corner office, 5th floor, Ministry of Interior building, Plaza de Tijeras. 2:00 p.m.)

Carmen: I’m guessing.

Frank: Go ahead.

Carmen: There.

Frank: And.

Carmen: Been there a while.

Frank: Venture a guess.

Carmen: An hour hour and a half.

Frank: Three hours fifteen minutes if you can believe it.

Carmen: Jesus.

Frank: It gets better.

Carmen: You’re not.

Frank: Yes I am cleaned out the originals paperclips cat whiskers and all.

Carmen: The decoys.

Frank: Didn’t touch them doesn’t even appear to have given them a sniff.

Carmen: We couldn’t look worse.

Frank: That’s the funniest thing.

Carmen: He’s been in contact.

Frank: Not a peep.

Carmen: Then what’s he want.

Frank: There are theories swinging so fast it’s in one ear and out the other but.

Carmen: None you’re especially keen on.

Frank: They’re all a little too fancy.

Carmen: Fancy.

Frank: Fancy exactly too convoluted full of wishful thinking.

Carmen: Where’s that leave us.

Frank: Fucked in the public square I’m afraid.

Carmen: You’ve got that look.

Frank: Just thinking.

Carmen: That’s what I mean care to do some of it aloud.

Frank: Oh it’s just a feeling.

Carmen: Good enough to go.

Frank: He’s waiting for some double cross.

Carmen: You’ve lost me.

Frank: He’s holding on to something that somebody else wants.

Carmen: And even if they can’t wait forever.

Frank: We can we will.
