By January 26, 2012January 22nd, 2016Writing

(Characters: Martin, Gregor
Setting: 3rd floor apartment, Sirenas Street, across from Parque de Besos. Mid-afternoon.)

Martin: Your friend’s a very suspicious character.

Gregor: How so.

Martin: She made a circuit of the room like she was gathering evidence.

Gregor: Evidence of your good taste I’m sure.

Martin: No I don’t think so.

Gregor: She’s not the patient type.

Martin: Yes I could see that.

Gregor: And she did agree with your nastiness about Sibiril.

Martin: That doesn’t prove anything.

Gregor: Perhaps there’s nothing to prove.

Martin: Perhaps it’s not just yet.

Gregor: So that.

Martin: So that I’ll have to wait and see.

Gregor: Suit yourself it’s your call.

Martin: I’m not going out of my way to be difficult I’m really not.

Gregor: Well that’s a relief.

Martin: You say Patricia speaks highly of her.

Gregor: No I said Patricia is fond of her.

Martin: And Patricia

Gregor: ‘s not fond of many women right.

Martin: We’ll still have to wait and see.

Gregor: Fine fine but patience as a virtue is not true of everyone.

Martin: You’re probably right of course I’m just.

Gregor: Don’t fret it’s okay to be cautious a lot of people are relying on you for just that.

Martin: Without discretion no one.

Gregor: Precisely.

Martin: No one would seek us out trust us to help them satisfy their needs.

Gregor: You’re preaching to the converted.

Martin: Sorry.

Gregor: Don’t be don’t I will tell you this she’s not a stickler for background checks.

Martin: She isn’t that might be a problem.

Gregor: It might raise things a few degrees that’s true but it would certainly open us up to a wider world.

Martin: It could be dangerous.

Gregor: Precisely.

Martin: And you’d be willing.

Gregor: You already know my feelings.
