(Characters: Amelia, Lee
Setting: Reception desk, Hotel Casanova. 2 p.m.)
Amelia: The old man’s mixed his memories again.
Lee: Old Sibiril.
Amelia: Yes the very same.
Lee: Is young Herndon still lackeying for him.
Amelia: He was the last time I looked.
Lee: So what’s the ancient sob story.
Amelia: Sib apparently sent a messenger over this morning with special instructions for a girl he claimed to have seen at the dockside warehouse set this past Tuesday and who he insists was wearing a red shirt and nothing else.
Lee: So.
Amelia: None of the girls was wearing a red shirt.
Lee: Certain.
Amelia: Yes not when they got there not when they were working not when they left I’ve interviewed them all and checked the logs it’s not a detail that would slip through especially with Solange calling the shots.
Lee: No is it possible it wasn’t one of our girls.
Amelia: What do you mean you think it might have been the wife or girlfriend of one of the other guests.
Lee: It’s possible.
Amelia: I can check the videos I suppose soon as they’re cleared.
Lee: Does create a delicate twist.
Amelia: Not of our making.
Lee: That won’t matter to Sibiril.
Amelia: Should Herndon be told do you think.
Best not I don’t trust him.
Amelia: Neither do I.
Lee: Did the old dear provide any other details we could go on.
Amelia: Such as.
Lee: Anything eye color big breasts little breasts anything.
Amelia: Not that I know of.
Lee: And the special instructions what makes them special again.
Amelia: The messenger said so and the receptionist wrote it on the envelope.
Lee: No confusion there all right what about a peek.
Amelia: To what end.
Lee: See if perhaps Loco Baez or Suzie could go instead.
Amelia: I really don’t like the idea of substituting on Sibiril he gets mixed up but he’s famous for his obsessions he’d spot it in a moment.
Lee: Tell him she dropped out got picked up by the police or kidnapped by an old boyfriend.
Amelia: Or joined a convent maybe.
Lee: Ha I’m sure he’d enjoy that one.
Amelia: He does have a superstitious streak.
Lee: In this business anybody who doesn’t must have his head up his ass.
