Anthony: I can still make out license plates an easy block away.

It’s all the fish do you think.

Anthony: And since I donated the TV set to Valera’s widow.

Laurence: The shadows cause the strain they say.

Anthony: Who knows.

Laurence: Only the witch doctors.

Anthony: And the foreigners I hate to say.

Laurence: Herbs and teas for everything.

Anthony: I’ll stick to my sherry and my mistress they’ve seen me this far.

Laurence: How often may I ask.

Anthony: Three times a week yes three times a week come rain or come shine.

Laurence: That really is remarkable.

Anthony: I did cut back when I turned seventy-five.

Laurence: No complaints from her end I take it.

Anthony: She’s a lamb I’m quick and not too fancy it’s a good arrangement.

Laurence: How long has.

Anthony: Since she was a child believe it or not.

Laurence: And she’s now.

Anthony: She’ll turn twenty-five this coming April.

Laurence: Hard to believe sometimes the young and all the.

Anthony: Ten no twelve years yes twelve years.

Laurence: You knew the family.

Anthony: Not well just her mother.

Laurence: But that’s how Solange came into your fief isn’t it.

Anthony: Her mother had many problems not a healthy woman nothing a child should be around so I gave her a car paid her hospital bills and took the girl.

Laurence: Put her through that fabulous school as I remember that was nice.

Anthony: For her own good something to fall back on manners and books and things when I’m gone.

Laurence: Very nice.

Anthony: Oh not so nice as all that I’ve my selfish motives to be sure and it’s been good having someone to talk to now and then it’s not just the sex you know.

Laurence: Of course not.

Anthony: And her mother understood my preferences.

Laurence: You’ve always.

Anthony: I’ve always liked them on the fresh side and one way or the other I knew I’d have to pay so why not a straight purchase.

Laurence: Prescient yes.

Anthony: She’s not so young anymore but at my age she’ll see me through.

Laurence: It has been a delightful evening.

Anthony: I’ll be humming in my dreams tonight.

Laurence: Indeed.
